Stairs but you get that so just apart of the experience

It was suitable for our two night stay as it is close to Rotorua and the activities we went to. Great shower with plenty of power.

The property was run down. The air con either didn’t work or once we got it working couldn’t turn it off. The trout flies are a major turn off. It’s impossible to sit outside in the evening without flies flying into your eyes and nose. There’s no tv or milk in the fridge when we arrived.

Had everything you need if you want to self cater. The views from the room and patio were “addictive “, had the afternoon sunshine and evening sunsets - perfect with a glass of wine.

Have to drive into town, but not a chore and it’s worth it for the location. Supermarket within easy reach - open 7 days till late.

The view

The flat was dirty - cobwebs, dirty floor, shelves were not clean and lots and lots of dead midges everywhere. In addition, we were not informed about the potential for swarms of midges at night. We have holidayed by lakes before in Scotland, Wales, etc. and it is usual for owners of accommodation to warn about the likelihood of experiencing midges. Sadly, it was not possible to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings at sunset and into the evening. In my opinion, it is the owner’s duty to inform the customer that they won’t be able to utilise the outside of the property in the evening at this time of year.

Really nice and well equipped studio apartment with a fabulous lake view.

All good, just to note it is a quite a way out of town but easy enough by car.
