From the moment I walked in, the property felt homely and calming. The entire let was extremely clean and had a good array of kitchen items. The bathroom is bright with the curved bath and shower over. The pressure in the electric shower put most gravity fed or power units to shame. Perfect! The bed was very comfy with good quality bedding and the skylight is positioned well, offering the choice for that little extra bit of fresh air. The wooden front door 🚪serves onto the hardstanding at the front aspect, where it was great to sit with my usual cafeteria coffee and croissant in a morning; the pleasant wall lamp lit area was equally tranquil for that evening red wine and night-cap. Very well sited geographically, perfect for being just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the amazing Whitby, yet excite, by the knowing of your return to rustic tranquility of ‘The Barn’.

Not one issue phased me.

Quiet retreat after visiting the busy tourist areas. It was cosy and warm with a very well equipped kitchen with good quality utensils.

"Beatiful romantic stay"

From entering the cottage it felt very rimantic and cosey. It had so many lovely touches with being dressed for Christmas and decorated with love hearts.

TV wasnt great but we mirrored our phone to it to watch Netflix on it so it no way spoiled our stay.

The location is excellent if you are wanting to be out of the way of everything. It was very quiet and secluded. If you are lolling to be in the middle of things this isn't for you but it is easy to get to Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hoods bay by car. There are some lovely walks around the area. Our dog loved it.

The position of the bed upstairs is a little awkward if you have a disability. This is a converted barn so the roof slopes upstairs reducing your headroom.
