Summerside Cottage

Proximity to village facilities was good. Good sized property for 2 so plenty of space and nice outside patio garden. Very clean, bathroom was small but nice and modern, always hot water for shower, good provision of toilet rolls and lovely white towels provided.

Very difficult to get car near house in order to unload suitcases etc however parking near by once unloaded. No bowls or containers to use in the microwave Double bed seemed small not sure if it's a three quarter bed, mattress not comfortable. Duvet very thin, had to use duvet from single beds on top of double as cold and no blankets available. Kitchen, too many very large bowls that are no use, no bowls for use to cook in microwave. Only 3 teaspoons in the draw. Heating, couldn't get timing sorted, heating on at 4am to about 6am then not on when we needed it, instructions for it written in pencil an scrap of paper presume by previous customer, we just pressed button to increase temperature to bring heating on. Take your own teatowels and kitchen towel as non at property. No cushions on settees so used the pillows from bed to be comfortable. Table ok to use for 2 in kitchen but not of there was more of you staying.

Location of the property is very good to access golf and the town of Gullane

Can't park the car outside the property

All went easily

Lovely location just off the high street and very close to all the shops. The lane is quite narrow and parking the car was a bit tight due to the width of the lane. We have a Peugeot 308 and managed to park fine but you do have to reverse out of the lane.

Location was great, very quiet and ideal for what we were after

Radiator in lounge did not work. Central heating was not easy to operate. Also I did not like fact they may have had a mouse issue as there was a sonic mouse repellant on the wall. Also there may have been an ant issue as there a box on the window ledge in kitchen. Finally I did not like the fact booking.com did n't show when booking there was £150 to be paid as an insurance deposit (okay refundable) but this should shown at time of booking. If I had known of this cost I would not have booked.
