Water's Edge City Retreat

Wonderful stay, was perfect as a base for our swimming comp. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the host was very helpful and accommodating. Recommended.

It's close to town.

I lived many years in Rotorua and know this area well. Lock your car! But being a long weekend choices are limited and they can charge what they like! I paid over $400 for 1 night (that's including my genius level 3 discount!!!) and you would expect a pretty decent place for that. It has so much potential but it's just unloved. For goodness sake, at least spray the weeds around the doorway etc. The beds are uncomfortable and the pillows and linen horrible. Could put your finger through the towels! As I said, heaps of potential but wouldn't go back!

Comfortable beds, good location

Property could use some upgrades. Floors were dirty, some power points didn’t work. Power shorted out using hair dryer. Towels very thin, bleach stained bath mats.

I liked that it was conveniently close to everything in town.

The facilities are a bit wobbly and in need of a bit of maintenance but they were functional so that's good.
