"Fabulous location and great spot for exploring Northumberland"

8.0

Couldn't get a response on the contact numbers provided when there was a problem with the main shower and a leak from the en suite bathroom (but did eventually manage to raise someone at Beadnell Towers)

"Disappointing."

6.0

Nice cottage, great location in the village and handy for surrounding attractions.

The stair gate is a hazard and shouldn’t be allowed. The only way to open it is to lift the entire thing off the brackets, not possible to do while holding a child. The en suite shower caused a leak into the kitchen, despite promises nobody attended to look at it nor did anyone from Coast and Country contact us despite repeated attempts from us to contact them. The shower in the main bathroom doesn’t work. The radiators in the bathrooms are scalding, high risk of burn accidents for children. Our daughter burned her hand as soon as we arrived. All of the above has been communicated to the company, to date I’ve had no reply (23/04).

"A wonderful holiday in a lovely location with beautiful weather."

8.0

Location was great. Cottage was exceptionally clean and well stocked. Very comfortable and met all our expectations.

There was a broken plant pot in the garden. The handle was broken off the patio door. The lock on the bathroom was broken. The shower in the ensuite leaked through the ceiling into the kitchen. The lock on the porch door was very stiff and tricky to lock, which was a worry when the patio door handle was broken. All these are minor problems which didn't stop us enjoying the holiday.

"Lovely cottage in great location close to all village amenities."

8.0

Cosy cottage nestled between two great pubs. Good bedroom sizes and enough room for family + dog!

Only criticism is to have a few bigger mugs for tea!!

"Cosy, homely and a gorgeous cottage for our first Christmas away from home."

9.0

Property was stunning and in a fantastic location. The rooms were all a brilliant size and the Christmas tree and other Christmas touches really made our stay - thank you

The property was absolutely stunning - no complaints. The main shower in the main bathroom didn’t seem to work but there was another attachment that we could use.

"Beautiful cottage but disappointing experience"

7.0

Beautiful interior and very comfortable. It is prettier inside than it looks in the photos. Great location for visiting local attractions like Bamburgh, Craster and Alnwick. The village is really lovely with a handy convenience store and access to a stunning beach.

Very poor communication - it was very difficult to get any response to questions, even when we needed to report that our son had cut himself on broken glass that had been left on one of the chairs. We didn't know the cottage was attached to a pub, fronting straight onto a road and with people accessing another cottage through the small outside eating area immediately next to the patio doors in the kitchen. So you feel very on show when you're inside the cottage. And it didn't have some of the basic things you would expect for the price. For example there were no hand towels or soap in the en suite bathroom or kitchen. There wasn't any welcome tray when you arrived. It felt like it had been set up to make as much money as possible from the booking without caring about the visitor experience.
