The Nook, Morpeth Town

The location relative to Morpeth Town centre is good. The provision of coffee pods an sweet treats is very nice.

A basic microwave oven would be useful. Parking can be a bit tricky.

Good location - only 10 minutes walk into town. Well equipped kitchen if needed . Small but adequate for two people to stay comfortably.

Dark green paint in sitting area, uncomfortable sofa - ok for a few days stay. Property clean, but we did have to wash mugs before using as stained. A lot of cobwebs in bedroom.

The location was perfect for for the town facilities and the overall exploring of Northumberland

Convenient for centre of Morpeth and close to our daughters home in Lancaster Park

Internet was appalling. Couldn’t get any decent access and unable to send emails.

Everything was as described. The Nook had all the amenities we needed was warm, comfortable and very convenient with a short walk to the town centre either by pavement or along the riverside. We enjoyed our stay.

Super little 'cottage' located right near the centre of Morpeth. Just right for the two of us and our little dogs. The place is quirkily decorated and fairly high tech with a modern digital oven/microwave, mini dishwasher and hive controlled heating. There was a local parking permit and an area permit provided. Comfy bed and nice shower in a modern bathroom. It's a good base and late evening retreat. The owner has thought of everything.

None of this is meant as a criticism. It was a little damp smelling and chilly when we arrived but we put the heating on and it improved. The property is old so it probably can't be helped. If you crank the heat up it is still relatively cold downstairs and sweltering upstairs so we had the windows open. There is no outside area for the dogs which is fine but those with dogs will know you have to go with them to find a suitable toileting area. We found the oven a little tricky to work but there are instructions. The lounge area is OK but not for long periods.

All round excellent. Really clean. And thought of everything. Would highly recommend.

The parking! But I know there's nothing you can do about that! Wouldn't stop me coming back.
