Hanalei Gardens

Great place to relax: nice garden, direct access to the beach, spacy bungalows. Not crowded beach with white sand. If you like to rather remote places and easy style, this is the right place for you.

The bungalow was stunning - huge and luxurious - the split level layout was great and the furniture was top quality. There was a large kitchen which I didn't use but had everything you might need - pots, pans and utensils. The shower room was also big and very nicely laid out. The grounds were lush vegetation and flowers. The private garden area leading to the lovely beach was very nice and the view, beautiful. There was a 7/11 in walking distance (go in the coolest hours, as it's far to walk in the heat, as there's no shade). I was a solo traveller but I would say that the bungalow would really suit couples or families also. The air conditioning was very effective.

The bungalow was dark inside but that didn't bother me really, it just added to the atmosphere. The only reason I wouldn't return to this property is because I didn't like the restaurants in the area - there were only a few which were expensive and the staff were not friendly - an absolute first in Thailand! It was as if they were reflecting a run of rude customers because, as I said before, it is a first in Thailand, that the staff should be unfriendly. I found one good place to eat which was on the way to the 7/11 which was more like an authentic, side-of-the-road restaurant. I'd also say you are much better off with your own transport, like a scooter, as there is no other way of getting around.

Lovely landscaped gardens really nice terrace to sit . 1 min to beach great sunset location. 711 is up on main road and is only a little walk to mom n pop stores n restaurants Spacious room sofa kitchen comfy bed fresh pillows sheets.
