Well appointed and decorated with thoughtful touches. A quaint and comfortable character cottage in a convenient location near amenities and a lovely park.

Narrow lane and parking needs care, but got used to it.

Perfect cottage in the most wonderful location on the doorstep of the most pristine park! It was cosy and quiet with everything we needed and only a short walk into the town. Thank you for the complimentary bottle of wine, a lovely touch. The bathroom is gorgeous which is always a big plus too! Cute decor. Would love to stay again. Excellent view of river castle from the living room and bedroom Excellent communication from the owner.

The cottage is so comfy and cosy. So much so that we'd actually like to find where the sofa is from! Was so nice to come back from a day's exploring amd being able to get cosy and watch some TV (the cottage having Sky is fantastic). The location is excellent, Matlock is a perfect mix between quaint and bustling, with so many great places for food and drinks. This was helped even more by Steve, who is a fantastic host. He was so quick to respond to any questions and gave great recommendations. The bed was also so comfortable, and the big bathroom is great.

Parking was tight, as people had mentioned. But I got used to it by the end of our stay. The only addition I could really think of was that a curtain or blind over the front door would help with privacy.
