The Nest - St Ives

Property had lots of character and in a central location. I'm guessing it's an authentic former fisherman's cottage and not some modern building,so it's a nice experience staying here. Very handy having a kitchen and was able to have the option of eating at our accommodation,especially with having children.

The following isnt our dislike,but may be a problem for others? My husband is 5ft 7 and his head fits just under the door frames like a made to measure suit. So anyone higher may hit their head if they forgot to bow a bit. Fore street is a bit like the oxford street of st ives in summer,so it can get a bit noisy with people in the day or the few passing cars at night. But we live next to a big exhibition hall,so are used to some noise. The apartment is smallish,but functional and didn't affect our enjoyment. Again,its the character of the property that we liked.

Great location in the heart of St Ives, so close to the beaches, restaurants and Tate St Ives. Really enjoyed watching the world go by from the window seats, exploring St Ives and the flexibility to cook and eat at home. As described the property is small, but there was plenty of room for our needs with good sized kitchen and shower room. Main bedroom and sofa bed were both comfy

You can't shut the door to the front room - not a problem for us, but others may want to shut the door if using the sofa bed. Noise from the street was expected and not as bad as I thought it would be,

The location was good, very close to everything, bed was comfy

The flat was small, we were only given one bath towel for a weeks stay, which was disappointing. I understand you're paying for the area, I genuinely don't believe it was worth the money paid.

Beautiful place, lovely beaches, lots of shops & restaurant's

The only concern I had, was the main front door lock, very flimsy, one shove door would be open, & also door to flat, should be stronger, it was just like lounge door with key lock, only because a man's clothes shop was below the holiday flat...

The location was superb. We especially enjoyed sitting on the window seats and looking out onto Fore Street.

The bed was not so much to our liking, but I think that's just personal preference as we prefer a wider and harder bed.

The location was absolutely perfect (2minute walk to the beach!!) The accommodation itself was very clean and had everything you needed.

Due to it being so central, it meant having to park up a very steep hill which made unloading and loading suitcases a bit of a pain.

Parking was a nightmare, the recommended car park is 5 minutes away but please be aware that it is on a very steep hill!! The street where the flat is located is crazy busy during the day Sofa is very uncomfortable (the seat cushions kept sliding off) plus it is way too big for the room and it is blocking the door so you can't actually close it The apartment wasn't very clean, lots of dust on bathroom ornaments, kitchen drawers and some utensils were dirty too Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place mainly due to the location & parking
