Windsor Retreat in shadow of the Castle.

Really lovely clean well kept house. Spacious kitchen with all modern appliances. Tea and coffee provided. Easy access with key in key safe box. Elvis the caretaker of the property was super helpful always answering his phone before our stay so that we could clarify a few things with him. Thank you Elvis. He arranged two car parking permits for us at a very reasonable cost, we had no problem parking two cars in the little road right by the property. Beds were really comfy, great shower in the bathroom downstairs. Stairs were a little tight as they are spiral which you can see very clearly in the photos but we were fine with them. I’d recommend to use small suitcases so that it’s easier to carry them up. Fans were provided if it was warm and heaters if it was chilly. The fans were very welcome as it was very hot weather. Little patio off one of the bedrooms was great too. Altogether a great property for a short stay with a group of friends.

There was nothing to dislike.

Great location. Right around the corner from the castle. Nearby shops and great restaurants. Unit was clean and tidy.

Didn't love that there is no parking next to unit. Had to pay for overnight parking. About a 5 minute walk away. Unit is in great shape but tight. Stairs are cute but hard to get luggage up and down. Bathrooms are really tight.

Quirky little property. Conveniently located and well furnished. Comfy beds. Convenient having the key safe for arrival. Would definitely stay again.

Whilst the spiral staircase was fine for us, wouldn't be so good if you had mobility issues. Also a little bit noisy when the bin lorry rocked up before 7am right outside the house one morning.
