The Gin Palace with seasonal swimming pool

The property is amazing, with lots of interesting ornaments and trinkets. Very comfortable and very peaceful. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Great view over hilly farmland.

All I’d say is that hot running water and a hob/oven would be nice.

self catering, beautiful location, very clean, fantastic pool all that we wanted for a very relaxing holiday, lots of quirky artifacts and interesting details, John , the host was very helpful with lots of information. we will want to book again .

This was by far the best experience my fiance and I had on our trip to the UK. The place is stunningly beautiful and the whole atmosphere in the house is just so cozy. It is decorated with lots of love and lots of stories. The bed was a dream in terms of comfort. There was a fireplace inside and outside, a pool and a spacious, really well kept garden to stroll through and look for all kinds of hidden secrets. John was an amazing host, always up for a quick chat and very helpful when it came to plan our trips. When we came back from those trips in the evening it felt like coming home. It was truly magical. We adored our stay and will be back as soon as possible!

Kitchen is very small and not ideal if you want to self cater.

Stunning location and beautiful views. Very peaceful you can certainly unwind here. Weather wasn’t great but still used the pool which is just in front of the Gin Palace. Covered decking area overlooking the pool and out to the countryside is just lovely sitting with a glass of Gin and tonic. House is full of interesting objects which are all described in a very informative welcome book. We used our barbecue and the fire pit which is a lovely place to sit around, even though we were sat under a brolly because of the rain. John is a very welcoming host. Can’t recommend this place enough.

location was fantastic ,No over crowding ,nice and peaceful ,I really enjoyed feeding the chickens every day with our left over scraps!! they really do eat any thing !
