The Gin Palace with seasonal swimming pool

The location is amazing, and it is lovely having access to the pool, etc. We really enjoyed the quirky accommodation. Everything was explained clearly, and I felt it was great value for money. It's nice and close to a variety of Lovely National Trust sites, walks, etc.

I think all was good. The pool is shared, but that was not a problem at all. There was toaster, kettle, and microwave, but all other cooking was done on the BBQ outside, which is great. People should know this so they are prepared as I know from some previous reviews some people expected hob and oven. I personally loved the accommodation and will be returning in the future.

We were greeted by John and checked in a little earlier as we arrived early, we were given a quick tour and then left to make ourselves at home. The Gin Palace is lovely inside, it has lots of quirky decorations on the walls and the log burning fire made the place feel homely at night, the bed was comfy and the surrounding areas were lovely to explore, we will definitely return again!

john the host is a great guy and was very thoughtful, helpful and considerate.

Cosy little lodge with a nice romantic feel with the wood fire burning stove and historical trinkets. The view of the farm from the patio was lovely in the early mornings and evening.

No hot water in the sinks and having to pay for electricity.

We found the place so cosy. Especially the log burner. It was lovely to stay in the countryside. Lovely views. We want to return .

We couldn't find any faults.

Fabulous location and so peaceful, property is full of interesting historical bits n bobs that give it so much character. The log burner is the business, the sheltered decking to the rear is lush for watching the sun set. Bed was so comfy

Could do with a heavier quilt on the bed, running hot water for washing would be a bonus too. Despite these things we would definitely return.

Excellent location. Spent New year's Eve and day there. John was very helpful. Lovely and cosy. Just what we like decor lovely so cosy. Will definitely return.
