"The 70th birthday week"

We loved the furnishings and decoration, especially the glass jars containing shells and coloured water in the conservatory. The antlers, stone dogs , framed movie posters, mirrors and other ornaments ( including the boxer) everywhere were unexpected and much appreciated. The general quirkiness of the property, and floor space, and lovely stairs and bathrooms and bedrooms, and it was warm too in November, it was great!! The Aubudon jigsaw was challenging and beautiful. The garden was also beautiful, with many sculptures, including the spectacular silver panda.

The lack of glasses for spirits, and casserole dishes for cooking. We couldn't light the aga, but the cooker worked, and the house was warm enough. The sofa was uncomfortable.

"Stunning house in beautiful grounds- what a gem"

What a beautiful house! The photos can't do it justice. From the decor, to the comfy huge beds, to the powerful showers and deep roll-top bath.... just luxury!

The very steep walk up the lanes from the station, with suitcases. Next time we'll get a taxi!

The location was wonderful with on street parking next door to the property. A walk down into town, near pubs, cafes and shops. A few minutes drive out of town and you are in beautiful countryside with an abundance of fabulous walks.

The only thing that would have been nice to have was a few more oven dishes in the kitchen, either roasting tins or dishes. Our group likes to cook and there was a shortage of oven proof tins and dishes for our roast!!, but this did not affect the stay it's just a note.

Stunning property in a fantastic location. Beautiful gardens, house was well equipped and very clean, stylish and quirky. Beds comfortable, lots of space for the seven of us.
