Fistral Court

Positive note the bed in the main room was very comfortable (despite all the dust on the headboard) and the property is close to town & beaches too. The scones, cream & jam were a nice touch as well but overall i wouldn’t stay again & sadly i cannot recommend this.

Firstly, I would not normally leave a negative review but on this occasion i feel it is justified. My comments are mainly due to the cleanliness of the property. Having read previous reviews which were mainly in 2024 i can only assume that this is when it was last cleaned with he amount of dust & cobwebs, these had obviously been there for quite a considerable time (see photos). The outside courtyard was untidy with lots of used cigarette buts everywhere. Part of the court yard is blocked off with a temporary barrier made up of house plants/tyres/a bike & children’s toys this also needs to be tidied up as it is very unsightly. The carpet has seen better days & is quite grubby so could also do with a clean. All of the knick-knacks in the main bedroom are dusty too and need a clean. There is no mattress protector or pillow protectors either. Windows are dirty and could also benefit from a good clean both inside & out. No tea towels were provided in the kitchen. The property is advertised with parking for a small car, thankfully we took our BMW i3 which only just fitted in the very small courtyard so anyone with a larger car would find it extremely difficult in getting a car in and out of the very tight access to the courtyard. In the main bedroom there is no wardrobe just a coat rack to hang your clothes, i also found plugs to be very limited. There is no plug near the mirror so found it difficult drying my hair. We were also surprised with the small living/kitchen space, on the photos advertised this showed a large kitchen/living area including an island & an American style fridge, we now assume that these photos are of the owners own kitchen/living space behind the locked door and feel that this is unacceptable to show photos of your own property and therefore need updating.

Good location close to town close to the beach , nice and quirky inside and off-road parking if needed.

The properties really cold and the owners control the temperature even if you put onto manual they will override it to the point where the bedding almost feels wet because of the coldness, TV doesn’t work and they leave you a note on the side to tell you that the TV doesn’t work, previous guests used foods left in the fridge and cupboard for you to use these undated and labelled. And kept gardening, he can hear the Baby from the owner in the Main house throughout the night.

Property had lovely ambience and cosy feel. Bedrooms are a lovely size. Location is great for Newquay and the beaches.

Tv reception a bit off and on ( but suspect that was a ‘Cornwall location’ issue rather than owners issue! :))

Amazing hosts great comuncation and very helpful and thank you for the home made scones it was a very comfortable and cosy stay can highly recommend

Great location and facilities. Owners very responsive.

No blackout curtains so it effected our sleep, a really easy win and not sure why properties don't do this.

Everything the location, how private it was, it is like have our own little home.

Such a cosy place that was perfect for me, my partner and our dog. Perfectly placed for exploring and ambling to the harbour. The hosts were very thoughtful, welcoming and responsive - and their instructions were very clear. The courtyard is beautiful and was a boon for parking our Polo. Would definitely stay again.

The mattresses and pillows have seen better days, making the beds quite uncomfortable. I recommend that the hosts invest in new beds, and then the place would be perfect!
