Country Nest

The size of the cottage was fantastic. The set out was unique and so homely. Everything we needed was in the cottage. The small garden/yard was lovely just needs a little TLC. The high street has a co-op, (another shop) pharmacy, cake shop, beauty shop,a pub and a hotel which has a beer garden and serves food. The co-op is very well stocked. The pub(blue looking shop front) opposite the co-op was friendly and welcoming, as was the hotel/bar. Parking for the cottage is either in the bays to the left of the cottage on the other side on the main street or to park on the path/road further up on the right of the cottage. The bedrooms are to the back of the cottage, so we weren't disturbed by the huge amount of traffic that comes through the village. We all slept like babies' super comfy beds. Behind the cottage is a children's park and green area, which was great to walk our dog. The location was around 40 minutes from Edinburgh. We used Ingliston Park and Ride(Tram) to take us to St Andrews Square, which was brilliant. This is also next to Morrisons and a shopping centre. Everything from the cottage and Scotland(our 1st visit to both) was fantastic, and we all very much enjoyed all of it.

location is superb for travelling to Edinburgh or Glasgow. the cottage was a like home from home. it has everything you need. It’s very homely and quirky in build but that’s what we lived about it..

The only thing that was a problem was Wi-Fi.. signal very poor..

Family friendly, comfortable, lovely decor, helpful hosts, milk in the fridge!

Parking was difficult
