The Steadings Cottage

My stay at this cottage was a unique experience. The cottage was exceptionally clean and stocked with more than enough amenities one might need for a relaxing retreat. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary tools and more, ensuring a fantastic and clean rural experience. The living room was superb—cozy, clean, warm, filled with a genuine rustic atmosphere. Additionally, the cottage was packed with books and maps for anyone's use. It also had a large box of games to enjoy during free time. The cottage featured a TV with internet access, which my children thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. The surrounding rural landscapes were stunning and beautiful. Moreover, the cottage provided extremely comfortable beds for a great night's sleep, which my family appreciated immensely. The bathrooms were spotless and fully stocked with towels, tissues, soap, and the water was very warm. There was also an outdoor room with barbecue tools, laundry facilities, and some sports equipment, which my children enjoyed playing with. In summary, this cottage is perfect for anyone seeking a relaxing, clean, and high-quality retreat, rivaling hotel standards. The owners were incredibly kind, respectful, cooperative, and helpful. This won't be my last visit to the Scottish borders, and I will definitely stay at this cottage again. After seeing my Snapchat photos, all my friends and family were amazed by its beautiful design and comprehensive amenities, asking for its location. If you want to enjoy a rural getaway, I confidently recommend this cottage. Thank you.

Ros was a lovely host and the cottage was beautifully presented with everything you needed for your stay . Gorgeous weather meant we used the outside space too .

The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and spacious. The location is quiet and peaceful, but close enough to Scottsh Borders attractions and Nurthumbria & Hadrians Wall, so there is more than enough to see and do. Lovely garden and private, off road parking for a couple of cars. The owners were helpful but not intrusive.

Stunning location, so peaceful. Easy drive to Hawick for shops etc. Beautiful garden to sit in, everything provided. Super comfy cottage, has everything and more for a fantastic stay, beds were are dream ! Ros was at hand if we needed anything, plenty information for walks around the area. Loved the photo on the wall of the progress of the cottage… you have done an amazing job !! It must have some amazing stories to tell ❤️

In a lovely area handy for lot of places to visit. Good field area for dog walks. Good to have two ensuite bedrooms. Liked the elevated lounge area. Lovely soft towels and bedding. Thank you Ros and Adam for looking after us well.

The weather ☔️

Lovely location, cottage, lovely, great secure garden, field for the dogs to run and play on. The cottage had all that you needed for your stay, great kitchen, that I would normally find a gripe as someone who cooks while away, but no complaints. it was bigger than the pictures looked, and done out lovely. We will be back, great location for getting out and about and relaxing.
