A perfect location in Hogsback to view the open gardens. The peace and quiet with a beautiful view was just the break we needed from city life. Highly recommended and we will return.

"Serene mountain cottage"

Very peaceful and serene environment. A little cottage by the forest that is worth experiencing I'm a little village on the mountain.

I would have liked a smart tv and microwave to enhance the stay better. Overall all was well.

"Beautiful cottage in the mountains"

We really enjoyed the 3 day breakaway at this lovely off the grid cottage. Since the booking was made, everything went smoothly thanks to Joanne's regular communication, directions and checkin details. There were so much to enjoy: the peace and quiet, stoep with beautiful view of the gardens, indoor and outdoor fireplace, comfy bed, squeeky clean cottage, complimentary tea/coffee, Cape Parrots flying over just before sunset, lovely walks in the garden and sunsets from the stoep. We were sad to leave.

The property was stunning, only fault was that bed was a little on the hard side but bearable.

We really liked the way in which the cottage has been designed and decorated. The garden, too, was magnificent. Overall, we simply appreciated the peace and quiet.

Possibly another blanket could have been made available to deal with the Hogsback winter. And maybe more coffee. But these aspects did not detract, in any way, from our stay.

We loved the beautiful gardens that we could walk through and the stunning mountain views! We enjoyed the warmth and coziness of the indoor fire place, the braai area as well as the fully equipped kitchen. We were also spoilt with artisanal chocolates that come from the chocolate shoppe in the village- I highly recommend them too! We made pasta for dinner one night and the kitchen had everything we needed! This was our second stay at the cottage and we will definitely come back again. We have booked the main house to enjoy with two other couples, we can't wait to share our favourite place with friends.

There is nothing that we didn't like, everything is perfect.
