The house has everything that you want and need for your stay, from excellent braai facilities to a fireplace inside. The interior design, layout and furnishings are beautifully done and the views over the garden and mountain range are absolutely breathtaking. Hours can be spent looking out from the veranda or comfy seats in the lounge, inbetween the excellent walks that can be taken from the doorstep. The main street and other popular attractions and walks are just a short drive away. This property, together with the locals and scenery, all add to the charm of Hogsback, making it a gem of a place and a must on any bucket list.

From the flowers on arrival to the well-stocked fireplace and braai facilities, this cosy cottage has everything you need for a quiet getaway with uninterrupted views, an abundance of birdlife, completely surrounded by nature, yet still close enough to the village. The information and service received from Joanne and her team prior to our stay and throughout was exceptional. A very special and magical place in Hogsback.

Absolutely stunning view - unparalleled! The cottage is cosy, modern and very comfortable. It's well looked-after, clean and neat. The fireplaces are great and well-stocked. The accommodation is conveniently located to the central village and comfortable enough to spend a whole day just on the property itself.

I would advise guests to bring two-pin plugs or adaptors to charge devices. Also note that there is no toaster or microwave and while the kitchen is well-appointed, the frying pan is very small, even for two people.

the cottage felt so welcoming… beautiful furnishings and finishes. Cosy, with a lovely inside and outdoor fireplace with a stunning view of the beautiful gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to this gem of a place!

Its situated at a perfect spot( in the wilderness). no houses/other cottages near by. Great for hosting visitors. It was nice and warm considering its winter.

just the gas geyser functionality. the water is either too hot or too cold.
