Rooi Els Sea Cottage

Bei Stromausfall heißes Haus über 40° und damit ohne Ventilatoren oder Klima! Da der ganze Ort und auch die umliegenden 3 Restaurants ohne Strom und geschlossen waren Flucht in den übernächsten Ort Kleinmond, etwa 22 km in der Dunkelheit um dort noch was zum Abendessen zu bekommen und dort sicher übernachten zu können!

The owners and the property were absolutely amazing. The accommodation is perfectly located, and the full sea view offers a sense of tranquility that makes it the ideal place to relax and unwind. The owner kindly allowed us to check in earlier, which gave us the opportunity to enjoy a full weekend breakaway. This meant so much to us, as it was the last trip to the sea with our furry baby before she passes. It made the experience incredibly special and memorable. It’s not every day that you find such wonderful pet-friendly accommodation with such thoughtful and caring hosts. We are truly grateful for the kindness and hospitality. Love this property and will be back soonest.

It was perfect.

The location is very good. It is self catering so no breakfast. You can see the sea from the house

The towels had a bad smell and the main bed are very noisy you can't turn around and not wake the person next to you. The shower are very small and the floor are wet when your done showering

Great location and beautiful view.

My booking was cancelled by the host at the very last minute.I was double booked. Matt explained that booking.com has a problem with syncing the calendar because he already had a booking for the very same period (30 Dec to 1 Jan) on AirBnB. So he informed me that it is 100% booking.com fault that my guests travelled all the way to Rooi-Els and then had to return back to Cape Town as there was no alternative accommodation in the area. It was very disappointing to us as we had to cancel all our New Year at the very last moment.

Lovely location and very friendly owners. Also love the 1950’s layout of the house.

Inside, the cottage is beautifully appointed and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. What truly sets this place apart is the hospitality. The hosts are exceptional—warm, thoughtful, and incredibly accommodating. They go out of their way to make your stay special.
