Rooi Els Sea Cottage

In the wonderful peaceful little town of Rooiels. The light, wind, sound, views, sunset, quietness is healing and comforting. The Cottage is what it is. Not so new anymore but honest. Peaceful, no TV or wifi, the right place to find yourself again. I love it.

The property unfortunately had people in there when we arrived and was double booked so we did not stay there. We graciously allowed the family of 4 to stay there instead. Matt the host was available on the phone and very apologetic about the mix up

It was double booked but it was not the hosts fault entirely as the people who booked from the 19-26 by mistake went there from the 12-19 and the cleaning staff thinking it was us Allie then in. It was a mix up.

We checked-in late evening, so could not see the environment. So what a surprise to discover the surroundings and the beach during a beautiful morning walk. One night was too short! Instructions and info received before check-in were clear. The house has a lot of character. The inner courtyard is very pleasant. The house is well protected from the animals in the nature. Indeed, there was a baboon visitor in the morning!

Perfect weekend escape close to nature. Will definitely be back to explore more of the area and enjoy this gem of a house. The hosts were helpful and friendly and the welcome pack very insightful.
