"Hayloft Cottage"

7.0

Loved the location, quiet and peaceful, great views.Comfortable beds, enjoyed looking out of the velox window at the stars.Kitchen has everything that you need. A great nature walk along the lane .Good parking space. The Donkey Sanctuary is a must for any visitors, please advertise them in the cottage.

The things we didn't like was the loose toilet seat and the noise from the extractor fan in the bathroom. The shower head holder kept sliding down as we showered .Would of been nice if the grass was cut.The one thing that really let it down was that I had to clean up five lots of dog poo from the grass before I could even let my dog out.The garden needs loving care as does the wire fence and gate.It wasn't until I drew the curtains that I noticed the bottom of the curtains had been obviously been chewed at one time. I suggest putting up a net curtain in the little kitchen window for neighbours privacy whists their in the hot tub. Please put tourists information leaflets in the cottage and local emergency numbers .

Lovely cottage in lovely country location , yet near to Sidmouth. Great garden and surroundings for dogs.

Bed bit small, shower head height not adjustable.

"Fabulous break, relaxing and much needed!"

9.0

The cottage was very homely, very comfortable, clean and well equipped. It was just as we'd seen in the photos and better, with the enclosed garden ideal for our dogs. The dog walk was brilliant for both our dogs, they loved sniffing around and finding different smells, mole hills to dig while walking each day. Parking was great, the whole area was delightful with the Donkey Sanctuary nearby with their restaurant serving very good meals. A very enjoyable stay for us all, thank you.

Nothing! It was all good for all of us, we recommend it highly and have told family and friends.

"Lovely 4 night stay"

9.0

The cottage was so clean, especially the bathroom. In a lovely rural situation, totally private and great having a garden you could sit out in and chill looking at the surrounding countryside. Sofa and beds very comfy

To be really picky the grass could of been cut in the garden.

"Lovely country views but someone needs to welcome guests and check all is well both for and during their stay. It feels"

5.0

Perhaps we were the first visitors of the season as we saw no one else all week. I didn’t expect to have to spend ages chiselling ice 2” thick from all round the fridge ice box so I could put my frozen food in and close the door. We then had two days with icy cold tap water but no apology was forthcoming. On Thursday morning I sent a message asking for a spare toilet roll but it was ignored so we had none. Hardly the respite break I’d planned.

"Great location needs attention"

7.0

Peaceful location with lovely views and nice garden. Cosy with nice skylights. Kitchen diner was modern and well equipped. Good TV and WiFi.

Hard and uncomfortable beds, cottage needed a good clean in places. Only one toilet roll provided. Maybe heating could have been left on low as the cottage was very cold when we arrived. Needed a little TLC i.e replace batteries in clock.

"Lovely stay, would definitely stay again ☺️"

10.0

Lovely cottage with everything you could need for a break. A home away from home.

The garden access was through French doors in the living room so our dog kept bringing mud in from the garden. We had lots of rain so it was very muddy.
