"An idyllic and dog-friendly retreat with fabulous hosts"

Where to start! The Retreat is in an idyllic and peaceful setting. The hosts are outstanding; very warm and welcoming and made our Spaniel feel right at home, so much so, he (and all of us) didn't want to leave and plan to return as soon as we can. The Retreat is set within acres of land which is perfect for traveling with a dog; guests are lucky enough to be able to walk the grounds and use the summer house. The cottage was clean, cosy, has lovely views, parking right outside, and has everything needed, and more - we were welcomed with fresh eggs and honey, produced at the farm, the duck egg yolks were the largest we'd ever seen! The cottage was warm and had a very comfortable bed and pillows. The hosts were always on hand whenever we had any questions, nothing was too much trouble, and we felt very relaxed throughout. Thank you Richard and Kaye, we cannot wait to return with friends and family.

"Exceptional"

Lovely, friendly hosts. Exceptionally clean and comfortable accommodation. So many little extras that made a huge difference, fresh eggs and jar of honey for when we arrived also fresh milk in fridge. This is the best place we have stayed at and would definitely return.

The cottage was warm and welcoming from the moment we set foot through the door, so much so we booked an extra days stay, set in wonderful well tendered grounds, quiet peaceful and so relaxing. It’s exactly what we needed.
