Veranda Syros House

This was easily the best place we have ever stayed simply because of the hospitality. Dimitris was our ride to and from the ferry. Vasiliki and Alexandra were there to greet us on arrival and provided an unbelievable assortment of homemade foods. See the pic. The refrigerator was completely stocked. We honestly would never have had to eat anywhere else during our four days. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Veranda Syros House combines traditional hospitality with modern conveniences. The view of ferries, ships and yachts sailing into port was world class. We experienced unforgettable kindness and warmth from our hosts, who we will always remember.

Loved this place it is amazing , Spotlessly clean and so much food left for us ,it was like being in a hotel .The family are lovely and kind Demitri picked us up from the port arranged taxis for us whilst we were there . Cleaned the villa mid week . We were in Syros for a wedding they even booked the hairdressers appointment for us . Amazing hospitality . Loved this place best Villa on Syros . FANTASTIC !!

There is nothing you won’t like about this place it’s fantastic.

Beautiful very clean home with air conditioning. The owners picked us up from the ferry port. The fridge and kitchen was filled with lovely food, fruit and desserts. Very generous hosts. The most comfortable beds and pillows. Fantastic view from the veranda!

Nothing as it was great

Our stay at Veranda Syros House was truly unforgettable, and it began in the most delightful way. We were met from the ferry by our hosts, who greeted us like old friends, and kindly drove us to our apartment, which was conveniently located just a short walk from the charming old town of Ermoupoli. The apartment itself was spotless, comfortable, and equipped with every facility we could have imagined. The lovely garden and hot tub, complete with stunning sea views, were the icing on the cake and made our stay even more special. However, what truly sets Veranda Syros apart from any other Airbnb we have ever stayed in is the incredible effort our hosts put into ensuring we had the most wonderful time – particularly through the food they provided. They refer to it as breakfast, but it is so much more than that. The fridge, freezer, and counters were brimming with a mouth-watering array of sweet and savoury foods. Each day, more delicious surprises would arrive anonymously—family-sized moussakas, filo pies, cakes, fruit, pastries, breads, cheeses, pizza, and so much more. We could have easily enjoyed three meals a day with the sheer amount of food provided, and still, there would have been plenty left to enjoy. Our hosts also went above and beyond to keep everything perfect for us, cleaning the apartment three times during our stay. Every time we saw them, they were so happy and welcoming, making us feel truly at home. I wholeheartedly recommend Veranda Syros to anyone looking for an exceptional Airbnb experience. You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely nothing.

The property was spacious ideal with a teenager , a mum with her baby and grandparents! The view was beautiful! The garden with spa exceptional ! Everything was within easy walking distance especially the town and we caught buses most days to explore many different beaches. My son caught free buses to play basketball most days at the sports centre. Free bus to Anos Syros. So everything very easy. The family who owned the villa could not have been more perfect! They picked us up from the airport and returned us at the end. They provided us with a wealth of information and the food they provided was absolutely amazing, plentiful and loads of variety as well as home made mousaka, spinach pie, milk pudding etc. They could not have been any more accommodating! The baby got ill with tonsillitis and Dimitris not only examined him but prescribed him with antibiotics and picked up the prescription for us, for that we will always be most grateful as he soon recovered and loved the holiday for the rest of the time! A great place to stay!!!!

With a baby with pushchair there are quite a few steps to negotiate, we dealt with it and got extremely fit!!! We did not want to hire a car which could have made that small situation a bit easier.

A genuinely fantastic place to stay, the house itself is beautiful, spacious and as picturesque as the town itself. It is also perfectly clean, with all the amenities you could possibly need, and very well stocked! The garden is also great; rest under the shade of lemon trees and grape vines or in the jacuzzi, which is just a cherry on top. Dimitris, Alexandra and Vasiliki are exceptional hosts and so generous, they picked us up from the port, provided well curated and useful information about the island, on top of which we were greeted with so much delicious homemade food that we didn't have to buy breakfast or lunch even once! They also dropped us off at the port after our stay. The family clearly love to host and are really very good at it. We could not possibly have asked for a better experience. Syros itself is a lovely and lively place, with plenty to do and see in the main city, as well as up in Ano Syros, and be sure to visit some of the beaches on the other side of the island to get the most of it, Kini is especially good. P.S. We don't usually get food from the same place twice but broke that rule for Giancarlo Pizza which is just a short walk from the house and so delicious! All in all this was definitely our favourite stop in Greece. μπράβο στην οικογένεια!

The reception upon arrival was excellent! We were greeted at the port and taken to our accommodations. We met the owner’s family that were beyond lovely and welcoming. The food presented to us was delicious and a surprise birthday cake, too. They thought of everything! Most comfortable beds in Greece!!!!

We enjoyed all. There are stairs so learn your best route up and down (zig zag) but incredible views, easy walks, beautiful.
