Ellers Farm Cottage

Lovely, cosy place to spend a rainy weekend. The kitchen was very well appointed and we enjoyed our brekkie of the biggest eggs we’d ever seen. The canal across the road was a lovely place to walk our dogs.

Hot water was a bit of an issue - tried the booster but couldn’t get enough water for a proper bath - shower was excellent though

Warm and comfortable with electric heaters and wood burning stove. Parking right outside. Location good near M6 so several areas accessible. Nice canal walks and boat ride. Helpful owner.

A freezer compartment absent from fridge so couldn’t use ice blocks for picnic chilling, or store frozen food. Otherwise, all good.

Cottage was perfect, exactly what we were looking for - just a few minutes from the M6 but in fabulous walking country. A great stopover on our journey from Scotland to Devon.

We had to travel over to the U.K. from the Isle of Man to take our dog Loki to Kentdale Referral’s for double knee surgery. We wanted somewhere nearby and came across this beautiful cottage. The owner (Alison) has fantastic communication and was very informative leading up to our stay. When we arrived we realised it was located on a beautiful farm, you could hear all of the animals during the daytime which was lovely, but it was very quiet at night. It is a wonderful location and nearby pubs, shops and great walks. The cottage itself is beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. It is so cosy, homely and wonderfully decorated. Everything you could possibly need is available to you and if you need anything whatsoever, the owners are very happy to help. The wonderful eggs were a delightful touch. Lovely, friendly owners. It really is a home from home and we would highly recommend anyone stay here.
