You get what you pay for. This was cheap. We booked a second night but the owner cancelled at the last minute which made it difficult to get anywhere else that late in the evening

Well equipped, comfortable and good location. Nice touches such as soap, shampoo and conditioner for the bathroom.

heating radiator in the kitchen made drilling-like noise during the night no spices at all and other essentials for cooking dog fee of GBP 10 (not sure if per stay or per night)

Castle cottage was a great stay for my partner and I and parents in law. We used it as an ideal base for visiting York and Harrogate for a weekend, but found that Spofforth and nearby Wetherby were lovely locations to stay and visit too, with some nice restaurants and a great pub just opposite the house. The house was super comfortable, clean had lots of equipment and games, so e outdoor space too and parking! I would highly recommend if you're in the area.

Very good location, perfect for exploring North Yorkshire from a quiet rural location. The host responded quickly to any requests and it was a very relaxing stay.

We were a group of 4x adults and two young children (8&6) it was a bit challenging having only one bathroom.

Everything about this place is to love. Even my cat loved it. We had a restful stay. Home from home. Very peaceful and comfortable.
