Aintree Farm Cottage

Everything was as it was in the photos when I selected the accommodation. Wonderful hot shower. Loved Bella the pet sheep on the property.

There was nothing we did not like.

Property is situated in the very very quiet location, I would say farm lands. Location is very safe and super beautiful especially during the flower season. Shopping center is located about 5-7 min drive away. House is very plain and basic but clean and has almost everything you need. There is enough space in the house for a family with 2 kids. There was a tea, coffee and sugar in the house. There is an induction electric oven in the house which makes cooking very quick. There is a big open country yard around the house. House is great for stay in warm days but can be cold if the weather is really cold.

There was no shower gel (and shampoo) in the house, which I can understand because soaps are not mentioned in the house facilities, but still it's not nice. There was no even a hand-wash soap, which is very disappointing. So after I arrived to the property completely tired I needed to drive again to the shop just to buy a hand-wash, luckily shop was still open. There were no paper kitchen towels and no napkins, no solt in the house. There was no hair-dryer in house even though it is mentioned in house facilities. The oven is induction electric oven which makes cooking very quick but if there is a load-shedding you cannot cook or even make a hot tea, which is not a problem in summer but a problem in cold winter days. Gas would work better. There is a heater in the house but if the weather is really cold heater is hardly enough for 1 bedroom and house is really cold. So if you're planning to use 2 bedrooms make sure you have 2nd heater.

Serene peaceful and lovely. The farm ambiance is just restful.

The location is absolutely serene and perfect for time to recharge away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. My children adored the sheep on the property, a very friendly, pet-like animal. Would love to revisit this cottage.

Location good - enjoyed being out of the crowd. I enjoyed the friendly sheep!! My husband enjoyed the dishwasher!!

The braai chimney is very open to the rain so not good for braaing in wet weather despite the undercover part. Need a poker or some sort of tool for the fire - sticks very hard to come by in that veld!

The location was perfect and the facilities were great and easy to use and we were comfortable all weekend long.

I liked the Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher.

There was a smart tv but no DSTV. The water in the bathroom basin took forever to drain. There are no cupboards or closet in the bedrooms so no packing space for your clothes. We basically had to work from our suitcases. The front door is a clear glass door so anybody can see right in. The space is a bit small and only 1 bathroom for 6 people.
