Picturesque Traditional Stone House

We cannot recommend staying at this place highly enough! We loved our stay. The house is so beautiful, the hosts were lovely, and the location is great for restaurants and quiet beaches. We love Popi and Ari! 10/10!!!

The house is very nicely decorated and very clean. The Airconditioning worked very well. The landlady is such a sweet lady. She brought us Fruits and baked us Greek pie’s and other wonderful Greek things. The garden is awesome. We sat there for breakfast. The location is awesome. It is situated very close to Falassarna Livadi Beach.

The only thing we didn’t like was the shower. The water didn’t drain fast enough. She was aware, so I am sure it will be fixed. She brought is extra towels to dry the bathroom in case it happened again.

The location was marvelous, the place was really authentic and clean. The garden was beautiful and the host (Popi) was really friendly and helpful. We did a barbecue a few times on an available brick grill. The house architecture was really cool with (sand?)stones and an internal reed roof. The flat came with AC, washing machine, oven, TV etc. and it was totally fine. Renting a car is advised. The nearby Falasarna-beach is a dream (5 min with car). Also some nice restaurants are in walking distance.

The house owner, Mrs. Poppi, was lovely; she was very friendly and welcomed us with a delicious home-made cake. The house was small, but spacey enough for us, as we were only three. It was clean, fully equipped (even with a washing machine) and cozy. Great plus: the beautiful garden, where we could have our breakfast and sometimes also dinner.

This is a beautyful house and a garden with a good location. In the near is Crete’s one of the best beach, Falassarna. The house has all facilities, it’s very comfortable, clear and nice. We were satisfied with everything! Popi is a very kind and attentive host. Thank you for the Greek cookies and the pie, it was lovely! 🥰 We loved everything in this place, hope come back once again. ❤️

Excellent location to explore the west Crete. Popi offered the best hospitality posible, she welcomed us with homemade chocolate cake that was delicious and local drinks as a gift. The house has everything you need for your stay. Thanks Popi and Basilis for having us!

I liked everything

I’m a university professor and I was in Crete for a conference. Then my wife and I took a few days off to visit western Crete. We had an exceptional traditional Greek house experience. The hosts offered us a full immersion in the traditions and welcoming Cretan culture. Basilis and Kalliopis (Poppi) were incredible hosts. If you want to truly experience Crete and avoid the crowds, this is your place. Great advice on the best places to eat nearby and further away. Great advice about places to go and how to best get there, by car, boat, or ATV. We will be back!

We had an amazing time. Popi was the perfect host nothing was too much trouble. we had lovely home made cakes from Popi most days. the house is lovely and traditional and perfect for a break in Crete.

There was nice attention to detail in the internal design. The outside garden was a delight. The host was superb, welcoming and helpful. The area is beautiful. Lots of ways to make coffee. Nice taverna in walking distance.

Need a car, cannot just walk out of the property to explore the amazing scenery.

Oh My! Where do we begin? We absolutely LOVED Everything about our little well equipped stone house in Plátanos ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Comfortable, quiet, peaceful, luxurious with a breathtaking, HEAVENLY garden that smells of Jasmine to eat breakfast in the sunshine. Gorgeous beaches nearby and a short drive to Chania. Sweet Popi and Basilis were lovely, helpful and communicative. Popi brought us fresh baked goodies regularly :”) Since we came at the beginning of the season, we got to light a comfortable fire on the chillier nights. We bet it stays so cool in the Summer too! Truly, look no further ~ This is THEE place to stay in Crete! Thank you Popi, Basilis ( and Meneesa 🐈‍⬛💕) We look forward to coming again someday 🙏💕❤️
