Benside Cottage

The location was ideal. The host was so lovely. It felt like home from home. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Nothing. It was absolutely fantastic.

Terrific cottage with plenty of room & well provisioned by the hosts.

I enjoy a bath at the end of a good day but there was insufficient hot water to achieve a full bath.

Location was good not to far from town centre

Would benefit from having another bathroom upstairs

Host Angus was , fantastic , beautiful location , property was immaculate

Very clean / spacious / comfortable bed / sperate diningroom / off road parking / complimentary wine coffee biscuits fruit are a nice touch / location was spot on for us.

The settee was a bit low but I am rather large and getting old.

The cottage was warm and cosy. We appreciated the generous provisions left for us. Angus kindly offered us an extra night's stay when our ferry was cancelled.

Good location nice people.

The down side of the house is it's large enough for 6 people however it only has one bathroom/ toilet.

I liked the Scottish/ traditional / Hebridean style. It is a real house and not a super luxury, designer, expensive house that is lovely to look at but not comfortable to live in as everything is too precious. Everything worked and we could relax.

Although holidays should be timeless this house had lots of clocks - none of them worked. I was happy to change all the batteries and content to see that one kept good time and the rest told me "relax, you are on holiday- time is not important". We only need one clock. Quite a few things were on the verge of being worn/ shabby, but none of them were important or took away from the enjoyment of the house. Did it put me off? No. Would I be happy to come back again? Yes.
