This is a beautifully decorated house, with everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. Lots of space for parking, great location and near to the ferry, shops and lovely walks near the beach. Comfortable beds. Very quiet. Lovely welcome hamper too. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nothing. Was all lovely.

"Salmon House is a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Isle of Lewis!"

10.0

From the windows, you can watch the sunrise over the sea — an absolutely breathtaking and peaceful way to start the day. The house itself is very warm and cosy, which is especially important in Scotland’s climate. The beds are extremely comfortable, with excellent mattresses that ensure a perfect night’s sleep. Everything in the house is thoughtfully arranged and furnished with love. You can truly feel the care and attention to detail in every room. The house is fully equipped with all the appliances and amenities you might need, making your stay effortless and comfortable. It genuinely feels like you are welcomed as a guest in the home of good friends. Another great advantage is the private enclosed area next to the house — perfect for parking your car safely and ideal if you are travelling with a dog. The house also has two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bathtub, which is very convenient.

A small but important tip: on the Scottish islands, especially around Stornoway, almost everything is closed on Sundays. Make sure to buy groceries and fill up your car in advance. Also, it’s a good idea to bring slippers to feel even more comfortable at home.

"A cosy comfortable seaside retreat."

10.0

The house is lovely, clean and comfortable. We have a dog so the secure garden was good and she really liked being a pawstep from the beach. When we arrived the lights were on and the fire lit which we appreciated on a cold dark autumn evening. Also liked the welcome basket which included milk and bread and biscuits from local bakeries.
