Cosy home near NEC, BHX Bullring & Solihull

Did the job

Good location for NEC. Good seating area and a functioning kitchen. Found the beds comfortable and parking was easily found. Shower was hot and decent pressure. Communication with the owner was also good.

The property could really do with some TLC and a deep clean. Furniture dumped outside cleared away.

The property is value for money but obviously managed to a tight budget. Fine for a short stay. Host was very friendly and seemed keen to be sure I was happy. Free wifi worked well.

Key hand over didn't work perfectly and I had to stand outside for 30 minutes, fortunately it wasn't raining. A lock box would be a better idea. No kitchen towel, no plug in the sink (did ask for one but apparently this is not supplied) so washing up is a bit of a problem. Booking.com list free toiletries. This is incorrect the host does not provide these and to be fair showed me his version of the Booking.com app where toiletries are clearly excluded. One for B.com to sort out. The outcome was a first shower using biological hand cleaner! Only provided 1 medium sized towel per bedroom. No one advised how to turn the shower on (separate swt to shower unit), so no shower first night. Not much in the way of cooking vessels, if cooking for a family this would be a struggle. Directly under the flight path to Birmingham airport.

Firstly we kept being asked with how many people we were, then was told that he saw more people on camera which was not true, and we were not allowed any visitors I have never stayed at a Airbnb with so much limitations even when I told them we are pastors going to a church event they were still acting if we were suspicious. Then when I told them that I actually lived nearby they were acquiring a deposit which was not on their website
