Glangwna Holiday Park

The cabin was lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. Melanie was so helpful in helping me source 24 hour taxis for our trip and left lots of information about local attractions and locations of facilities within the holiday park. It's a great location and close to two towns with loads to do.

The staff in the holiday park itself were not the most helpful or friendly but that's nothing to do with the owner of this cabin.

Location suited what we were looking for - a simple overnight bed for a University Open day in Bangor the following morning. Cheap and easy to access.

Some issues with the ergonomics of the chalet would have become annoying on a longer stay - the fact that you can't sit straight on the toilet because of a badly placed towel rail was probably the most annoying thing for all of us - added to the fact that the bathroom door is bigger than the frame so won't shut properly, let alone lock. Limited kitchen ware makes self catering a bit of a challenge.

Melanie was so accommodating she checked if we needed anything and made sure we were comfortable lovely person 💙

What's not to like perfect location with everything you need if not more. We had the most amazing week away and can't wait to return again next year. Melanie the host even went the extra mile and allowed us to check in early which we really appreciated due to the bad weather.

That we couldn't stay longer

The lodge was beautiful & clean and had everything we needed for our stay including the added extras of tea, coffee, sugar, condiments, some toiletries and cleaning products. A little home from home. Great communication with the host and a contact number incase of any issues. We needed to top up the electricity for the week but that didn't cost much. The site is very clean and well maintained. The cafe served a varied menu of food all day with the option of take away. All meals were very nice and reasonably priced. The pool was very clean and well maintained and this was the highlight of our stay as we spent most days there with our daughter. The club offered food and beverages throughout the day and entertainment most evenings. Very family friendly, great views, lovely walks, very peaceful.

Our lodge was situated at the top of a steep hill so could be difficult for some people to get to on foot if you have an mobility issues but by car is no problem at all. Lodges are available to book on the lower ground.
