Stairs a little steep for me

The property was incredible, the cottage has so much character and charm, the furnishings are gorgeous and there was nothing extra you needed

The stairs are a little steep and narrow but it’s a cottage so that’s expected didn’t detract from the lovely feel of the cottage

The hosts were very helpful when I contacted them. The cottage must have an interesting history. It was very clean and smelt fresh on arrival. The kitchen was small but well equipped and we found the washing machine useful. The beds were comfortable and all the linen delightfully fresh. It suited our needs for our visit to this part of the country.

You have to go along a narrow gravel path to access the cottage. There is no road access. As ever that type of lock box was difficult to use. The cottage was cosy and would have been a tight squeeze for four adults. The stairs were very steep and narrow. Unfortunately the cottage outbuildings viewed from the kitchen window were not well maintained and appeared unattractive. I would have liked clean teapots and frying pan.

Good location: lovely, quiet neighborhood. Good hosts: thoughtful and very responsive. Clean property and good facilities. Greens: flowers and trees.

Great position in lower Wivenhoe, lots of information about the area, easy access to park for dog walks. Had everything needed for stay. Lovely outdoor space. Friendly neighbours.

Steep stairs not a problem for us but could be an issue for some
