The Miners Cottage

Had a perfect four night stay in this lovely cottage, even though it's attached to the pub it is very quiet. Has a balcony overlooking the fields for a nice start to the morning with a hot choc. Lovely friendly host, easy check in and is in a great location, 10 mins drive to Puzzlewood and only half hour drive to Symonds Yat which is very picturesque and the forest is on the doorstep for walks and cycle rides. Highly recommended!

Food, location, opportunity to relax. Lovely quiet village. Very nice people to deal with.

This was our fourth visit to the Miners, we like the cottage and the location, and it is perfect for us and our two dogs.

A lovely homely cottage with everything you need for a relaxing break. Very comfortable and well equipped with a lovely view from the balcony upstairs. Ian and Chris were very helpful and friendly. Lovely to have some fresh bread and hot cross buns from the bakery, milk and butter on arrival too. Having the pub next door to eat at was so convenient and the food was amazing!! Pub was also dog friendly and were very accommodating. Maybe could do with an easier way to access the upper part of the garden, but a good size and enclosed, which is great for the dogs. Managed to successfully keep the labrador out of the stream 😅! Overall a great place to stay. Great location, near to towns and lots of lovely walks nearby. Would recommend.

This was the nearest cottage with absolutely everything you could possibly need, in it. We plan on it again next year DV. In the little garden you can hear the little stream going by. Even though next to a pub, it is quiet and peaceful. Children and dogs are welcome and catered for. The two rooms and bathrooms are all on the main floor. A dishwasher, washer and dryer. Lovely! Miner’s Cottage was a perfect location for a wedding in Lydney. We were so happy with the amount of space, including the outdoor patio and balcony. It was a cozy home away from home!
