Incredible location just below the walkway to the top of the castle. Amazing views and very quiet. A gorgeous deck off of the bedroom made for beautiful and peaceful morning coffees. The host, Matina, was exceptional. She stocked the house with groceries and ensured we had coffee, wine and beer to begin our stay. The house was spotlessly clean and because we stayed for 14 days, we got thoughtful refreshes every few days which included local treats and even a load of laundry! The bathroom is super tiny, but does have everything you need.

As many people mentioned, there are lots of uneven stone steps to reach the property. My knees took a beating every day. The kitchen is serviceable but not outfitted for an extended stay if you plan to do much cooking.

Location, views, facilities, actually everything. A quirky and interesting exceptionally well fitted out unit with a Fabius outdoor patio with champagne views. Welcomed with complimentary snack and a fabulous bottle of Monemvassia dry white wine. The host, Matina, was just awesome! Incredibly friendly and super helpful. A delight to be welcomed so warmly with huge smiles and genuine warmth. She was in contact without us throughout or stay and always available, if required. Water pressure in the loo was low, but we learnt to work with it. Location is high up providing stunning views and even though there were a lot of stairs to get to our unit, this did not bother us. We travel light and therefore we were not hindered by cumbersome suitcases. Matina also reserved a parked my space for us just outside the walls and offered Porter services. Cannot compliment her enough. Highly recommended

Close to the centre and an authentic style of house in keeping with the historic village ( but with the modern conveniences)

No faults at all. Anyone to the old village needs to accept there are steps to be climbed to get about.

spread out over 3 floors so you do a lot of steps indoors as well. 1 step down and 3 steps up to get from bathroom to bottom bedroom at night resulted in a few stubbed toes.

Modern well appointed historical building at the base of the steps leading upto the Castle. Lovely welcome from Martina with a lovely basket of goodies for breakfast and nibbles plus wine. Easy meet at the gates with someone to help take luggage 👏 would definitely stay here again!

We didn’t mind lots of steps but be aware there are quite a few….which is expected in Monemvasia.
