Kyklamino Castlehouse

The property was absolutely magical... straight out of a fairytale! The host, Matina, was super helpful and as nice as can be! I would 100% recommend this property!

Not one thing... it was perfect!

An amazing tower house, and upside down concept with great view from the living area. Matina met us on arrival and quickly organised help with luggage. I knew house was quite high up, just below the castle which meant it was so quiet and peaceful. For me, it was great that every for breakfast was there so I didn't have to think about shopping. From this house you have a head start for climbing up to the old castle and Agia Sophia it didn't take long. A clean comfortable house with amazingly comfortable beds. Matina was very kind and hospitable and house had everything we needed.

This isn't a complaint just an observation, that there is not much privacy in the open plan middle bedroom which may be awkward for friends or couples.

We were met at the gates by the host who brought us up to the property. Thankfully, someone carried our bags up on a cart, as it is quite a walk up on well-worn stones, but well worth it! The accommodations are delightful, the location superb, and the hosts are most accommodating. There are no vehicles allowed, so everyone is on foot. The restaurants are great and the views from the fort and the church on the top are fabulous. You will get enough exercise from walking around that you won't gain weight from eating all that wonderful food! Don't forget to find the little arch that accesses the swimming point for a dip in the sea!

The house is absolutely gorgeous, the design is fully embedded into the natural stones giving the apartment an beautiful look! The view from the terrace is the best! we spend endless hours looking at the sea with the complimentary wine our lovely guests had left for us. Matina is an incredibly kind and proactive hostess, she made our arrival and departure very smooth! we would definitely be back if we are visiting Monemvassia again

this was not an issue for us quite the opposite we were very happy about the view, but the apartment is located on top of a lot of stairs, so to be minded for people who cannot climb too much.

One of a kind built in stone house that will charm you for sure. Everything was perfect from the hostesses to the amenities, the bedrooms everything. We had an exceptional stay in the middle of the old town and we will be returning for sure!

Nothing we didn’t like as we knew that the house is up the hill and we will need a bit of athleticism to get to our house as there are many steps to the top. Just to warn those that are not fit or that may have health issues that the house is up the hill.

Great location Amazing views Peaceful Check in is very well done, a man collects your bags at the gates and takes them to the accommodation, and does the reverse on check out, the hosts accompany you to a parking space on arrival and then drive you back up to the gate. (Although don't drive you down to your car at check out)

Doesn't take card payment so have to have cash Not appropriate for those with any walking difficulties, albeit I would say that goes for Monemvasia overall rather than the accommodation specifically.
