Bournemouth secluded cottage 10mins walk to beach

It was lovely to come to the property with the Christmas tree light up it made the little extra welcoming more special

You had to be careful on the bottom of stairs coming down this is the only thing I can think of and its minor as our stay was lovely.

Oud en vies. De houten lamellen waren kapot, waardoor ik een deken voor het raam moest hangen omdat het anders te licht was in de slaapkamer. Overal waren spinnenwebben en spinnen. De locatie lag in een oude achterbuurt. Het huis bevindt zich achter een groot appartementencomplex waarin veel mensen uit Oost-Europa wonen. De auto moet je parkeren vóór het appartementencomplex, waarna je door een smalle steeg naar het huis moet lopen — iets wat niet in de beschrijving vermeld stond. Na een bezoek aan het winkelcentrum, waar veel daklozen en verslaafden rondhingen, voelden we ons al onprettig. Om naar het strand te gaan, moest je door een park lopen waar ook veel verslaafden waren. We voelden ons daar niet veilig.

Lovely cottage, smelt lovely and clean when we arrived. Bedding and towels were fresh and clean for us. Check in and out was easy and the host was efficient and easily contactable. I forgot to bring my dogs bowls from home but lovely touch with them being available at the cottage.

Kitchen light switch needs labelling as I couldn't find it. Was obvious when I did. Just being picky as there wasn't really anything to dislike. The stairs are open and my dog was a little freaked on his first run up them.

A few things need attention, part of the fascia has fallen off, the bathroom tap is very loose.

Lage zum Strand gut. Nach einem etwa 10- minütigen Spaziergang durch eine nette Parkanlage erreicht man den sauberen, sehr schönen Strand. Duschen, Toiletten, Kiosk, sowie Restaurants direkt an der Promenade. Der eigene Parkplatz vor der Cottagetür und simpler Check Inn und Check Out sind Pluspunkte, aber:

Leider lässt die Sauberkeit und Ausstattung des Hauses zu wünschen übrig. Sehr viel Staub, Schimmel an Wand und Fensterrahmen, abfallende Tapeten von der Decke und für eine vierköpfige Familie nicht ausreichende Küchenausstattung, Schmutzwäsche (von Vormietern?) in Säcken unter der Treppe, Mülleimer im Bad mit Periodenprodukten der Vormieter nicht geleert... Hat da das Putzteam versagt oder ist das geliebte Cottage nur noch Kapitalanlage? Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft nicht weiter.
