Bournemouth secluded cottage 10mins walk to beach

All necessities provided (including beach towels and Tupperware).

Great cottage with warm touch. Looks beautiful. Close to the shops, beach, parks and Boscombe Pier. We spent really nice weekend in it. Also great contact with owners. They are very helpful and nothing is too much hassle. Would like to come back in the future.

Fantastic communication from hosts, superb location, and lovely cottage all round which was very clean and presentable in all rooms

Tough for those a bit taller due to structure of the cottage which cannot be helped, however the bed was quite short and my legs stuck out the end by some way in the double bed which may want to be considered but a very small detail.

Great Location with only a 10 minute walk to Boscome Pier. Fantastic beaches and not too busy. Plenty to do within a short drive away. Lovely little cottage which although needs updating a little was excellent value for money.

Nothing really

Where to start with this Cottage. To be honest this was our first time going to a B&B and for the price it’s not bad for what you get. It was spacious enough for 4 people which was good. Adequate kitchen facilities. The bedrooms were good sizes and so was the front room. Also liked that they provided Wi-Fi, tv and Netflix all included. However, their were MANY things that needed to be changed if I were to stay again, which I’ve spoken about in what I didn’t like and photographic evidence to prove what I was saying was true. I spent the first couple of hours cleaning and bleaching this cottage before I could start my holiday which is something I really didn’t expect I would have to do!

Downstairs: Firstly the smell of the cottage. Now I know that this cottage is pet friendly which is great however I think if you’re going to be letting pets in you need to make sure you clean the carpets regularly and invest in an air freshener. Luckily we had bought an Ambi Pur plug in air freshener which made the place smell 10 times better! Secondly the kitchen although it was adequate some of the pots and pans were very worn and needed replacing. Also both the recycling and main bins were absolutely filthy with dirt all round the top and in the bottom and this contributed to the bad odour! Along with the plug holes that wouldn’t have said not to a drop of domestos! Also the taps needed to be descaled with Viakal as their was a lot of calcium build up. There is also no freezer but that is clearly stated in the description of what the cottage has to offer and the dishwasher was dirty around the seals and side! The sideboard that was located as you entered the property was very vile behind it and look as though it hadn't been cleaned behind it for years! There were lots of cobwebs which I would expect from an old property but not as many as what I had seen! The skirting boards through the property needed a good wipe as they were thick with dust especially near the kitchen where there was food splashes up the wall. The carpets downstairs were very stained and being a cream carpet I think they need to invest in either a bissell carpet washer or rent a rug doctor from B&Q. This would also help with reducing odours and getting ride of bacteria. Upstairs: In both of the rooms there was lots of dust situated on the Venetian blinds and window seals. Thick mould on the windows and frame which I was not pleased about as I’m an asthmatic.There was lots of hairs in and on the bedding and the mattress protectors in the small bedroom were stained. The bathroom was dirty and shower head was blocked. Also the beds were very uncomfortable. Heating kept coming on!

Big stains on carpet as soon as walk in .. ceiling paper hanging off and discoloured .. mould around shower seal .. shower glass had limescale stains .. stairs looked gawjus but actually very dangerous as such a small step on last 2 bottom that a couple of my group and myself ended up seriously hurting ourselfs ... wallpaper at end of hallway up stairs yellow and stained ... old coffee in jar plus no toilet roll upon arrival although a cleaner did turn up a few hours later with some after we had gone and brought some ( that's not really an issue )
