Bakers Cottage

Two good sized double rooms, good shower and well equipped kitchen. Cosy and characterful property. Excellent hosts and easy access arrangements.

Parking was a little awkward for getting kids in and out. Not a problem for us but worth noting breakfast bar only seats 2.

Fantastic property! Great location as really close to many things to do just a short drive. Cottage was so clean and cosy. Loads of room and had everything we needed there! One of the best we’ve stayed in to be honest. Host was very responsive too and happy to help with anything which you don’t always get at some places. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing to do with the property or the host but the neighbour is pretty rude about parking. Came knocking on the door when we were quite clearly just unloading the car and wasn’t interested in giving us time to explain, just that it needed moving now.

Bakers Cottage is a warm , bright and inviting cottage . We had pretty much all the kitchen utensils and equipment needed to enjoy some home cooking . No issues with any internet WIFI as we had free 5G . We took our fire stick which was a godsend as the channels are quite basic , so might be worth considering if you like your tv .

I did book thinking we were in Cockermouth itself which was my mistake ! We do like pubs within walking distance and we were relieved when we had 2 . The locals were friendly and made us feel very welcome . We had 2 cars at the cottage . Our son’s car was less wide than our big car , so he was able to park tightly against the wall . We parked our car wherever a space became available down the street . No complaints whatsoever , just a few considerations for future guests .
