Hillside Cottage

Great location with lovely views . The cottage is so cute , Tiina has thought of everything you need in a holiday cottage . Bed very comfy . Just perfect .

Nothing not to like .

Fantastic cottage high up on the hill. Exceptionally well equipped, warm, cosy and very clean. Everything was provided. Lovely garden area and nice to watch the birds on the feeders.

Only minor issue was accessing with luggage but just meant making a couple of trips and was explained beforehand by the owner. It very much worth the effort though.

Extra touches, milk, tea ,coffee, toiletries

Parking was a little tricky but this is no fault of the owners.

Kitchen lay out good, bed comfortable views fabulous

Settee uncomfortable, extremely steep stairs, no instructions on how to use washing mc and no powder/tablets it was one of the reasons we chose this place. Parking was an issue as was the steepness to the property. Also Booking.com didnt give the right code to obtain the key it was the same with the last property

Homely feel, fireplace in the eve was brilliant. Quality kitchen facilities. Eco vibe about the place with the cleaning fluids and bathroom. Skyline in the bedroom was great although in the early morning was bright, but there was a remote control to access it which I discovered only on the morning of our departure (my own fault). Tina was an excellent host and very approachable and friendly. I didn't experience any issue with the steps leading upstairs or the incline to the cottage and I had a bad leg on the day from previous injury and I'm no spring chicken. The views were great and breakfast outside was awesome with the sound of the birds. The bed was a good size and comfortable.

The noise on the bathroom door handles when leaving the bathroom window open but a minor niggle.

The property is approached by a lane on the edge of town. One passes businesses and 1940s style housing and one wonders what to expect, but the lane narrows into a beautiful valley with quaint properties gathered around an old water mill. It is set high above the valley with great views and, as it’s a no through road, the only noise comes from bird song and cows mooing. Photos show view from cottage. The cottage was clean and the bed was comfortable.

As many have pointed out, don’t consider this property if there is any issue with mobility. There is no parking at the cottage and one has a steep stride up a track to access the property from the nearest parking. We managed to back up to a spot near the cottage to unload. It’s a mission but, at least we didn’t have to lug cases up the hill! However, if you’re fit enough, it is worth it. Stairs are very narrow and steep too.

Fabulous location and views, was very clean and comfortable, had everything you required, so peaceful and once again the weather was perfect during our 2nd stay here so were able to sit outside enjoying the wonderful views.

The location was amazing, perfect distance from gorgeous views and a short walk into the town.

The parking situation could have been better but given the location of the property it is clear that not a lot can be done to improve this!

Gorgeous cottage. Really well equipped, we stayed for two nights but could have stayed for a week! Lovely location with lots to do nearby. Easy communication, clear where to park and how to get in. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
