very beautiful area house in Irish style everything in good condition clean bed linen towels thanks to the owner

Clean, comfortable, cosy and beautiful. 3 minute walk to the pub/restaurant (food was delicious) 2min walk to the grocery shop/cafe The hosts left turf and kindling for the fire which was just enough for the evening. All instructions were clear and easy to follow.

Location was okay. No breakfast included.

Nowhere on Booking.com did it mention heat and hot water were only free for a couple of hours in morning and then in the evening. We didn’t learn this until AFTER we booked and not until we were on our way to Ireland. Upon arriving, despite following owners instructions, via e-mail, neither heat no hot water worked. There was a pay fox on the wall where you had to pay by the hour if you wanted heat or hot water after the time allocated which required having coins to put in the box. Called owner and he basically said he was sorry but couldn’t get someone out to fix problem that night but did offer a suggestion of how we may fix it ourselves by removing boiler cover outside, etc. This is not something I wanted to do on my vacation but attempted it and that did not work either. We were assured showers were on separate system and hot water would be available in morning. Tried to warm up place with starting a fire in fireplace with provided peat moss but it was damp and would not light. No one called or showed up in morning to fix problem. No hot water in shower in the morning either. Called owner and left message that still not any hot water anywhere and asked them to call back. Never got cal back. Was going to ask for refund when we returned home but see they never billed us which was appropriate given the horrible stay we had there. If everything was working, would have been a nice stay as place was cute cottage.

Too many instructions/orders posted throughout.Poorly maintained throughout.Mould in bathrooms kitchen and other parts.Dirty walls,uncut garden,dilapidated fence.In dire need of update/refurbishment.

Loved the experience to stay at a thatched cottage...downstairs original and quaint. Upstairs cosy and comfortable.

Heating tricky but when on with fire the cottage was cosy. Was looking forward to seeing half door as in ad but must have been replaced with full door. Not a big deal.
