The Lodge

What a beautiful place to stay. We found it to be in a great location, with lots of places to eat nearby. The hosts, Helen and Martin, were lovely and made sure we settled in with everything we needed. They provided us with lots of information about the area. We would stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic cosy property in the most perfect location, it had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Lots of local walks on the doorstep with amazing views. The cosy fire was perfect for this time of year, bed super comfortable too!!

Nothing could of been better!

The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful with stunning views all around and wonderful walks in every direction. It's secluded but a short drive from many lovely towns so it has the best of both worlds. Helen and Martin are great hosts, who keep the house spotless and cosy as well as giving us fab advice about walks in the area. We had a great time and we hope to go back one day.

Helen and Martin (plus their dog Max) are lovely hosts and kept their lodge in very good condition. The lodge itself was cozy, clean and wonderful within a very quiet and beautiful small valley.

Beautiful Cottage and very helpful owners. Location was spectacular. Great walks and cycle routes on the doorstep and the cottage is very cosy if you return cold and wet (As we did!) We were unlucky with the weather but the log burning stove made for a very cosy home coming! Well equipped kitchen, although we didn’t cook much as there are some excellent restaurants a short drive away. Would thoroughly recommend.

Lack of proper hanging space and drawers in bedroom meant we had to effectively live out of our suit cases, but for a short break this wasn’t too much of an issue.

Fab location,monsal trail a short walk away. Very peaceful

Loved the location, so peaceful and amazing views of the Derbyshire Hills. It was also the perfect location for the Monsal Trail and close to great hikes like Mam Tor, Kinder Scout, Higger Tor (all within 30min drive). The place had great Wifi too for distance working. Wanted the thank the hosts for all the hospitality!

Such a peaceful location, beautiful views and walks so close by. The property had everything that we needed, the bed was super confortable and the bath was fantastic after a long day walking. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful without being obtrusive. We had a fantastic stay.
