The Lodge

Location was beautiful - excellent walks right there. The Lodge was charming with lots of its original features like old windows, arched doorways and an amazingly huge lock on the sturdy front door. But lovely and cosy with all mod cons

Very very minor points - but a scourer for washing up and an oven glove would have been nice.

We really enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely be coming back. Helen and Martin are so friendly and helpful, the House is cozy and lovely, we already miss staying there and are looking forward to our next stay.

It was lovely and quite, with some beautiful views, even thou it was cold, would definitely visit again in the summer, was cosy and comfortable

What an exceptional weekend! The location and view is stunning, the cottage was perfect with a roaring fire on arrival. Extra firewood for the log burner was provided when we asked. We had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathtub was stunning. Will definitely come again.

Nothing, other than it being a bit of maneuvering to get our large car into the space!

Cosy place to stay. Excellent hosts went above and beyond putting roses on the bed to satisfy special request.

I couldn’t fault this place. Exceptional views combined with well equipped facilities made a fantastic stay!

A beautiful property in a gorgeous location , perfect size for a couple , has a cosy cottage feel with a wonderful log burner. Some of the great walking in the area begins right outside the door and the views surrounding the property are simply stunning

The property is absolutely gorgeous, with everyhting you need for a break away from home. The bonus here is, it is situated in an absolutely stunning location.

There was nothing not to like!

Lovely house and location. Owners nearby and very friendly and helpful. We got snowed in and Martin and Helen went above and beyond to not only ensure we had food, and wood for the fire but very generously put us up for an extra night! Amazing hosts, beautiful house, cosy decor, great views 🙂

The Lodge is well located for exploring the area. We hiked directly from the Lodge on one day - it was stunning! - and drove to nearby areas for other hikes. The kitchen was really well stocked with everything we needed, and Helen and Martin even provided us with coffee and milk! The Lodge was beautifully decorated for Christmas and all the decorative lights were on for our arrival - magical! This attention to detail carried through the decor in every room. The wood burner was a great feature on the cold winter nights.

We don't have much to say here as our trip was magical. I guess the only issue was trying to find the Lodge on a dark and misty night, with limited mobile signal. A What3Words address would make this easier.
