The Lodge

What an amazing retreat this is. Comfortable, clean, warm, lovely surroundings, beautiful, relaxing, with helpful hosts who couldn't have been more accommodating, got everything that you need. For an out in the country retreat that is on the doorstep of wonderful Peak District walks this was an ideal relaxation and leisure stop for the two of us. The bed was so comfortable. The kitchen had everything you need, as did the bathroom. The living room was cosy and comfy with a lovely wood burner. Value for money for sure as there was nothing to worry about at all. Well done everyone 👍 didn't want to go home...

Beautiful space in beautiful surroundings. There couldn't be a better area to appreciate the changing colours of Autumn. Easy drive to both Bakewell and Buxton, with plenty of local walks and pubs too. Comfy couch, comfy bed and a lovely log fire. Great.

Getting in and out through the stone pillared gateway can feel tricky, it's fairly tight. I can see people who aren't confident with their angles finding it difficult with a big car, but it's perfectly fine once you get used to it.

One of the most beautiful comfortable places we have ever stayed. The hosts were amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. Before we arrived they gave us a list of local places to see, visit and eat that they recommended. Lovely log burner with logs provided for us for our cosy nights, after long walks in the day. The views from this Lodge are stunning..and we can't wait to visit again soon.

The entrance gate was quite narrow and difficult manoeuvre my larger car through. I did manage but I would want a smaller car next time!

The views are amazing! Good location, remote but also near villages and shops if needed. Lovely building and had everything you need. The owners are lovely and checked in that we were OK and had what we needed.

Lovely location, beautiful scenery from the patio area. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Loved the layout of the exterior and interior of the property.
