The Lodge

Wonderful stay at the lodge. Decorated to a high standard and was very cosy and comfortable. The location is rather special with a view of the Monsal Trail and adjacent valley. We had a lovely time.

Lovely area. Really cute lodge the log fire warms the place up fast and adds a nice feel, but the radiators are more than enough to heat the place anyway. Friendly owners who offered assistance but not at all pushy. We stayed for my partners birthday, and Helen put balloons in on my request with no trouble even getting a little gift herself for my partner, so it a lovely, thoughtful thing to do. Would stay again and recommend for a romantic trip for a couple. So many little extras there it was well worth the price.

It rained, and I only wished there was a patio umbrella to sit outside and enjoy the view.. but I braved it and didn't ask the owners so there was possibly one somewhere 😄. Definitely wouldn't put me off from returning.

Quirky old property, with stunning views and contemporary luxury furnishings. Beautiful part of the country, ideal for hiking and cycling.

The location was perfect for the walks we had planned.

It was cold inside property when we arrived which made it not so welcoming. But host did provide extra logs & there were extra heaters which we did use.

Me and my partner booked this to celebrate our engagement and visit the Peak District. It’s very close to all the main Peak District walks etc. Lovely property. It’s good you can park on site. Gorgeous views from the kitchen and then a lovely view of the horses in the field from the front room. Helen and Martin were very accommodating and helpful. Would recommend :)

Nothing. I had poor phone reception (I don’t think that can be helped due to the area) but the wifi was strong and I wouldn’t let this put you off booking this lovely property.
