Perfect hideaway location, beautiful views, amazing hosts that were incredibly helpful.

Really cute little lodge that actually felt quite spacious. Great location for just wandering up and down the Monsal Trail and visiting Buxton & Bakewell. Owners have given a lot of thought to little details like night lights. Bed was ridiculously comfy! I'd happily return.

All great. Just be prepared to walk up and down the hill if not driving 😀

The location of the lodge was perfect, beautiful views and conveniently located for the Monsal trail. The hosts Martin and Helen were fabulous, they had prepared the lodge and made sure it was cosy on arrival (the weather had turned cold outside) and checked in on us to make sure everything was okay, giving us excellent recommendations for trails and places to eat, they couldn’t be more accommodating. The lodge is a beautiful historic building and everything had been thought of that we might need and we had a lovely time cosying up in front of the fire to watch a film and enjoying a bath with a view. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was close to Bakewell and Buxton and we had amazing meals at The Bull’s Head in Ashford in the Water and Thornbridge Brewery. We would highly recommend this lodge and can’t wait to find a free weekend to pop back.
