Anchor cottage

It is a spacious property, the location is lovely, very quiet at night and some nice pubs very close by all doing food, if you are staying and you have dogs it would probably be fine

When we first walked into the property the smell of what we presume was dogs was very strong, we couldn't use the front room due to this, the sofas smelt quite strongly, also for some reason there are no locks on the toilet/bathroom doors

Anchor cottage itself was great - keycode sent by text 2 days before with a contact mobile number of someone local if there were any issues (no issues so didnt need to call). Parking in the village was fine, cant always park directly opposite Anchor cottage but it really is no problem, I parked 15metres up the road in a little parking layby but plenty available in general. Cottage was very clean, light and perfect for the 4 of us, nice back yard that gets the sun - its enclosed/pet-friendly as well. 2 bathrooms, one at the top and one on the ground floor. All in all a brilliant place to stay for a few days, drive out to wherever during the day and get back, park up and eat/drink locally. Its situated on the main street in Flamborough - which is a very quiet location. Several pubs serving food, 2 x chippy, restaurant, cafe, village green, Coop all within 10 to 100m of the front door. Turn right out of the front door and North Landing Beach is about 2k down a straight road - up and down but easily walkable if you are fit enough, passing 3 pubs on the way and one at the end if you fancy it. Seabirds Inn in the Village is a nice place to eat but you may need to book, Scrumdidlyupmtious Cafe for breakfast is good but its only small so you may have to take a chance on getting a table - its about a 1 minute walk so send someone to check/grab a table and get them to text you if there is space!

Very good location

Property advertised for 6 people… doesn’t specify that it’s actually for 4 adults and 2 children as it has bunk beds, no photos of 3rd bedroom , but it said 2 singles , not clean- hoover didn’t work so couldn’t do anything about it

Spacious house, very clean and comfortable. Suitable for families/groups up to six people. Fully equipped kitchen has all cooking essentials. 20mins walk to the bay. Highly recommended.

A lovely clean house, in a great location. We were able to get in early and communication with owner very good. Would definitely book again.

Would have liked extra pillows but that is just personal choice and maybe one or two games for children.

The location was great and could not have been more central. The Lighthouse Fish and Chip shop over the road sold the best fish and chips - they were exceptional.

Attention to detail lacked in certain areas, especially the bathrooms.

The village is really nice & quiet, the Cottage was really tidy & clean & had pretty much everything you could need when on a short trip stay.

I can only think of one little issue, the CD player did not work., but, we had brought a little Bluetooth speaker (like most would these days I suspect)., so the CD player/mini HiFi was not really needed. Also on one of the days we had brought BBQ food, to then have to cook it in the cooker, as we found that the cottage had no matches anywhere, but maybe this is an error on our behalf as maybe we should have assumed there wouldn't be any matches :)

Lovely area , right near all pubs and shops , nice chilled and lovely cottage too , will defo stay again
