Smithy's - Lake Tekapo

The house was in a quiet residential area, but not far from all the amenities that Lake Tekapo had to offer. The rooms were spacious and airy and had all the facilities that you could want. The upstairs bedroom had a balcony which was great for viewing the night sky.

The facilities were fine.

I could not make the TV work. For people who do not use the NZ system of receiving a signal, there needs to be some explanation of what device control to use first and what device control to use second. This was the only location that used that particular two device sign in system and I could not do step one. (TV instructions not supplied) The curtains in the upstairs bedroom were beautiful quality and possibly new. However, they are/were too heavy for the curtain rail system installed and were hard to slide if one was a short person.

Smithy's was very quiet, warm, comfortable and very well equipped. It is very easily walkable to the small township.

Great location walking in the town. Supa comfy beds. Good view of the mountains. Would be pretty good in winter. Really happy.

Couldn't find any wine glasses.

No lock box ,Booking.com said we had had to check in by 5pm but the reception team said we could have arranged a later check in.

Wonderfully comfortable, spacious and clean home for our young family of 5. Great location to the town centre.

No basic pantry items that I would've expected, such as salt & pepper and cooking oil. The TV wasn't functioning so either needs a repair man to look at it or to be replaced.
