Whare Manu Boutique Cottage

The home was beautiful designed, light-filled, and charming. The wind-swept, lovely beach was steps away and a delight for long walks. While the house is remote (bringing food with you is a good idea so you can settle in and enjoy the fireplace, the birdsong, and tranquility) that is part of its delight. I only stayed for one-night and wished I had stayed longer.

The place was beautifully set up to be a wonderful place for a romantic getaway weekend. The amenities were brilliant, particularly the bathroom. The access to the beach for a long walk or into the nearby reserve is also great.

There is an adjacent residence that is walled off but was closer than expected but did not really infringe on our privacy. The carpark had a very different feel from the cottage but was nice to have to keep us out of the rain.

The property was in a beautiful location, was lovely and warm and exactly as described. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

Though smallish, well set up. Very comfortable and then there’s all the native birds that visit with their beautiful sounds.

This property was exceptional! From the location, wildlife and extra homely touches we enjoyed every minute and would highly recommend it. The location provides a secluded back to nature feeling and we enjoyed watching the NZ birds feed, was so special. The cottage was so relaxing and warm, bed comfortable and lovely touches like milk, coffee, tea and oil. John the owner came out to welcome us which was so good of him and always knew he was there if we needed anything.
