The Hermitage

Friendly welcome, lovely cottage and beautiful location.

We were met by the owner TJ. So welcoming and she had made us delicious hot scones. The whole place was very welcoming. Logs left for the fire. Kitchen compact but had all amenities. Bedroom on 1st Floor. Double bed very clean and tidy. Plenty of hangers for clothes. Beautiful garden to sit in. Also small compact living room. Sky television. Dining table to sit at for meals.

Would have liked toilet to be nearer bedroom at night time had to go up and downstairs to bathroom. Apart from that would recommend anyone to stay. Not suitable if any mobility issues.

Excellent communication from owners, clean, comfortable, beautiful garden to use, owners went over and above to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was just delightful, very clean and with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful bed linen. The hosts were very welcoming and even spoilt us with a cream tea including homemade scones which were just delicious and a bottle of wine. Great location for exploring North Devon with a good selection of local shops within walking distance.

Very good condition, very clean, very comfortable stay. Nice touch with a lovely scone, jam and cream for my husband. I am gluten and dairy free TJ and Adam provided a very nice cake for me too. Lovely bottle of wine and bottle of cold water in the fridge too. Lovely to sit in the beautiful garden after a day out exploring North Devon.
