Turtle Shack - Ocean Isle Beach -Whole Beach House

Ad said “pet friendly” for 1 small cat (in a crate) & elderly aunt. 3 bedrooms & laundry. & adult nephew stayed 3 nights. 4th night 4 adults + cat.

Found tv system hard to use. When we stayed on 4th night, cold until we asked permission to turn up the heat

Short notice trip, easy booking, pet friendly & clean for an older dwelling. Nice location, small beach town with local conveniences.

Nothing bad really. Took a little while to figure out the electronic front door lock, so it would lock.

There was plenty of room for the three of us, actually could have had a couple more people with us and still been comfortable. The house was clean when we arrived and check in was easy. The property was just as described in the listing.

The house is just minutes from everything. The yard is huge, there’s even space to hook up an RV and power and water source. The Sugar Shack restaurant is right across the street.

The air conditioning was set at certain temperatures at certain times of the day. I like the AC cold, but there is a code you have to use to change the AC schedule so I kept having to change the temperature of the house because it didn’t stay on the same temperature. Woke up sweating. They have fans for every room.

It was our first time booking a B&B. When we arrived, the doors were unlocked. I had to call booking.com to get the combination for the lock box to unlock the box so we could get the key. We didn't want to leave it unlocked.

We can not think of anything we did not like except for the price. We could have gotten a hotel for less.

Close to restaurants and stores. Nice driving distance to the beach!

Location was great and quiet. Next to shopping and a short drive to the beach. Carport was great for the hot weather. AC worked well. It was easy to get in touch with the owner/agent (not sure which it was) The kitchen was adequate for our needs but not well organized. The screened in porch looked lovely but it was too hot to use it. A ceiling fan might have helped.

Only 1 towel and wash cloth per person. We asked for hand towels and only received 2. Asked for extra towels and didn't get any. There was only 1 dish towel and no extra pillows There was no soap or toiletries in the bathrooms which would have been fine had the house information stated that. Be sure to bring your own chairs and beach equipment. There are none at the house. The master bed was comfortable, the other 2 a little less so. We asked for a late check-out and only given one hour even though we knew there were no new guests arriving that day.

Loved the house it was so clean. A very quiet and relaxing home. The home had everything you would use ,dishes ,beach toys etc. Very close to the ocean ,grocery store,gas station,domino's,shopping,ice cream, restaurants. It was perfect for our family. I would recommend this house to everyone. And I will be back again.

I didn't like that we had to leave ,but our vacation was over. Wished we could of stayed at least one more day. But we had a long drive back to ohio.
